The WOOE Awards are created; its first edition will take place alongside the fair, on the 21st and 22nd of March at Madrid’s IFEMA

The World Olive Oil Exhibition will be held on the 21st and 22nd of March at Madrid’s IFEMA. After the last exhibition proved to be a success, in which more than 3,000 olive oil professionals attended, the exhibition established itself as a not-to-be-missed event for the entire international sector.

With the aim of strengthening this international leadership, the team of the World Olive Oil Exhibition is now shaping the Advisory Committee of the exhibition. A body made up of renowned businessmen and professionals who will contribute to the exhibition through ideas, contents and an increasingly greater network, via frequent travelling sessions.

This Advisory Committee will also be responsible for shaping the new WOOE awards, which were born with the aim to focus on some of the most important areas for this sector, as well as their groups, companies, professionals and, why not, products:

These are the areas which will be taken into consideration by the next WOOE:

  • Recognition to a career path.
  • Recognition to business innovation.
  • Recognition to a corporate model.
  • Recognition to strategic development.
  • Recognition to the best processed food elaborated with olive oil.

WORLD OLIVE OIL EXHIBITION 2018

With a very large participation of international agents during the last WOOE, this event represents a unique opportunity for the olive oil producers and professionals. During only two days and in a single space, this exhibition offers many oil mills, cooperatives and companies from the sector the opportunity of opening new markets and closing some of the most important transactions of the year.
Understood as a fundamental pillar for commercialization, the WOOE will be once again the main forum for debate and analyze within the sector, with a program of conferences, tasting sessions and masterclasses that are better every year.
During the past WOOE, around 200 olive oil companies were brought together with purchasers, distributors, and businessmen from the sector from more than 30 different nationalities (among them: Dubai, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Italy or the US). These figures are expected to be surpassed over the coming World Olive Oil Exhibition: the only monographic event about olive oil that currently exists.
As additional data: a few months ago, the Ministry for Economy, Industry and Competitiveness granted the World Olive Oil Exhibition (WOOE) as an international fair, making this event even more established.
