SECURITY FACING CORONAVIRUS

Given the current international health alert due to coronavirus disease reported by the World Health Organisation (WHO), we, the World Olive Oil Exhibition, would like to inform our exhibitors and visitors on this issue since your health and well-being are our biggest concern.

Spain’s Ministry for Health has confirmed that the global risk to public health from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is moderate in Spain. Authorities assure that all necessary measures for public health are being taken in order to face the coronavirus outbreak and that, in Spain, the human cases of infection are located and controlled.

IFEMA maintains direct communication with the health authorities updating its action protocols to-the-minute and ensures that its health services have all the necessary means and resources in order to most effectively cope with any circumstance that might occur.

In order to have reliable and updated information on the coronavirus disease, the Spanish Ministry for Health recommends following its official Twitter account (@sanidadgob) or its Telegram channel (t.me/sanidadgob). A comprehensive on-line document with questions and answers is also available. The World Health Organisation has also created a space on their website with comprehensive information regarding the coronavirus outbreak.

Furthermore, it is important to point out that IFEMA is not going to cancel any of the scheduled activities. This decision shall remain unchanged as long as there is no official cease order by competent authorities that entails the legal or material impossibility for IFEMA to comply with its commitments of organising its own fairs or hosting events promoted by third parties. For IFEMA, the latter circumstance will be deemed force majeure (unforeseeable or inevitable event), and entails the following consequences:

- IFEMA will be released from fulfilling its contractual commitments and will not be bound to provide the services to which it was previously obliged.

- The exhibitors will be released of their payment obligations to IFEMA. The amount already advanced will be fully reimbursed.

- IFEMA will not be liable for paying indemnities.
