Several Indian importers, who are interested in opening up and expanding the olive oil market in their country, will be present at the upcoming World Olive Oil Exhibition that will be held at the Pavilion 14 of IFEMA (Madrid) on the 12th and 13th of March 2015.

Abdul Zain Khan, CEO and founder of Oliva International (India), will be one of the Indian importers that will visit the 4th WOOE. This will be his second year in a row, following a successful first visit: “being able to meet the world’s leading producers in one place gives us the opportunity of finding the most suitable supplier for our market”, he declared.

Zain explains that “the Indian market is taking an interest in olive oil, which is a great opportunity for European producers. And although this change is not happening at a fast rate, it is in fact taking place, and the relationship between price and quality should also be taken into consideration. But for now, the largest demand is for olive pomace oil”. However, according to Zain, this could be a positive trend because “once the refined olive pomace oil has opened up the market, consumers seeking out quality will look for EVOO”.

In the interest of opening up the Indian market, Zain expects to find a large pomace producer at the WOOE. And he encourages other professionals to attend as well: “Professionals who wish to find suppliers and to build their markets should be present at the World Olive Oil Exhibition”.

Atul Khandelwal –from Gourmetlines– is an Indian importer who will also be present at the 4th WOOE. Khandelwal will be attending the WOOE for the first time and, in his opinion, “it will be a great meeting point for producers and importers from all over the world. When doing business at an international level, the supply chain must always be kept in mind and, therefore, such a specific fair focused on the olive oil industry is very important for us”.

Khandelwal expects that the 4th WOOE will be the perfect platform in order to find the best option which will meet the needs of the Indian market in particular. He also stated: “We heard news of this remarkable meeting thanks to our colleagues; and so now we will participate with the intention of developing business opportunities and establishing relationships between our country and the producing countries”.

Thus, Khandelwal, as well as Zaid, encourages professionals who would like to develop their business to attend the World Olive Oil Exhibition.

WORLD OLIVE OIL EXHIBITION

The 4th WOOE will be held on the coming 12th and 13th of March 2014 with the aim to increase the number of professional visitors from all over the world. During the past WOOE, more than 37 countries participated with their olive oil importing companies.

To increase international transactions for their products, this event is also paramount to the one hundred or so companies that participated in the 2014 WOOE, which were mainly olive oil producers, but also business agents, suppliers for the olive oil sector, and specialized media.

The World Olive Oil Exhibition will keep on working for and supporting all the trade categories, whether they are commercialized as packaged or bulk products.
